What a review pays
The figures, not an impression of them. Every rate below is the one the platform charges and pays today, and the arithmetic between the two is on this page.
Reviews are priced and paid in MOX
MOX is Moksy credit — the unit everything on the platform is priced in, pegged at 1 MOX = $0.01. Customers buy it, reviews are charged in it, and your earnings arrive in it. When you withdraw, MOX converts to money at the rate Moksy publishes: 125 MOX to £1 today. Operators can change that rate, and every earnings entry records the rate it was settled at, so an old entry can always be read back at the rate it actually used.
There is no second currency for reviewers and no separate reviewer rate card. The number on a job in your Queue is MOX, and it is the same MOX the customer paid.
- 1 MOX = $0.01, pegged. 125 MOX = £1 at the published conversion.
- Your Earnings ledger shows the gross, what was taken, and what reached you, entry by entry.
- MXP is a different thing: it measures progression on the Ladder, and it is not what a review is paid in.
What a job is worth
| Kind of review | Job value | What it is |
|---|---|---|
| Peer Review | No fee | A free check for a customer on the free Membership. It carries no money, it earns MXP, and it is where a new reviewer builds a record. |
| Section Review | From 75 MOX (about £0.60) | One Section of a Blueprint. The floor rises with the Track: Security & compliance 105 MOX, Accessibility 90 MOX, Cloud 83 MOX. |
| Sign-off | From 250 MOX (about £2) | A whole Blueprint. Same Track uplifts: 350 MOX on Security & compliance, 300 on Accessibility, 275 on Cloud. |
| Expert Review | 490 MOX (about £3.90) | The floor for any review bought on a paid Membership, whatever its scope. A job worth more by scope and Track is charged at the higher of the two. |
| Priority Review | 1,990 MOX (about £15.90) | An Expert Review returned inside 36 hours. The tightest window on the platform, and the highest-value job on it. |
The value of the job itself, before your share of it is worked out. Sterling equivalents are at the published conversion of 125 MOX to £1 and move with it.
What reaches you
| Example | Job value | Reaches you |
|---|---|---|
| Expert Review, first paid rung, free Membership | 490 MOX | About 215 MOX — roughly £1.70 |
| Priority Review, first paid rung, free Membership | 1,990 MOX | About 875 MOX — roughly £7 |
| Priority Review, top rung, Reviewer Elite | 1,990 MOX | About 1,739 MOX — roughly £13.90 |
Worked examples, not a promise of volume. Your share = job value x your rung's payout share x what your Membership leaves you. Payout share runs from 0.55 at the first paid rung to 0.95 at the top; Membership takes 20% on the free one, 12% on Reviewer Pro, 8% on Reviewer Elite.
From claiming work to money in your account
The fee is shown before you claim
You see the scope, the window and the fee in your Queue. There is no negotiation after the fact.
The customer's payment is held in Escrow
Funds sit in Escrow for the duration of the review, so the work is already funded when you start.
You submit the review
Inside the window the job carries. Your first three are read by a senior reviewer before delivery, and paid in full.
The fee is released
On acceptance, or when the customer's response window closes without a dispute. It lands in your Earnings ledger with the gross, the deduction and the net shown.
It matures, then you withdraw
Earnings become withdrawable after a hold — 14 days on the free Membership, 7 on Reviewer Pro, 3 on Reviewer Elite. Withdrawal converts MOX to money at the published rate.
Disputes are adjudicated
A senior reviewer decides. If the review stands, the fee is released to you exactly as it would have been.
What sets your rate
Four things, and none of them is how hard you negotiate.
Your rung
Payout share is 0.55 at the first paid rung and rises to 0.95 at the top. Climbing the Ladder is the single biggest change to your income, and it is earned through accepted work, never bought.
The scope of the work
A Sign-off on a whole Blueprint pays more than one Section, because it is more work. Priority Review pays most, because the window is tightest.
Your Track
A Track is the discipline you are accredited in — Security & compliance, Public sector, Healthcare, Data & AI, Accessibility, Cloud and so on. Work is routed to a Track from the project's Category, so your Tracks decide what appears in your Queue. Three of them are priced above the base because the field is thin: Security & compliance at 40% more, Accessibility at 20%, Cloud at 10%.
Your Membership
Every accredited reviewer is on one. The free Membership takes 20% of what you earn; Reviewer Pro takes 12% and Reviewer Elite 8%, and both shorten the hold. No Membership changes your rung, your Band or your Tracks.
