Our position on modern slavery and human trafficking, in our own operations and in the supply chain behind them.
About this statement
Moksy is below the turnover threshold at which section 54 of the Modern Slavery Act 2015 requires a statement. We publish one anyway, because customers ask and because the answer should not depend on our size.
Our business
Moksy operates a software platform. Our supply chain is short: cloud infrastructure, payment processing, email delivery, and language-model providers — all listed on our sub-processors page — together with a network of independent expert reviewers who are engaged directly and paid through the platform.
Risk assessment
We assess the risk of modern slavery in our direct operations as low: a small team, professional roles, and no manual labour or physical manufacturing. The residual risk sits in our suppliers’ own supply chains, principally in data-centre construction and hardware manufacture, which is where we place our diligence.
Our reviewer network
Reviewers are independent, choose which work to accept, and see the fee before they accept it. Rates are set by the platform rather than by bidding, specifically so that reviewers are not competing each other downward. Fees are held in escrow and released on acceptance, so work is funded before it starts.
What we expect from suppliers
- Compliance with the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and equivalent law in their jurisdiction.
- No forced, bonded or child labour anywhere in their operations.
- Freedom for workers to leave employment, and no retention of identity documents.
- Willingness to answer questions about their own supply chain.
We prefer suppliers who publish their own statement, and we check for one when we choose between comparable services.
Reporting a concern
Anybody — employee, reviewer, supplier or customer — can raise a concern about modern slavery in our business or supply chain by emailing [email protected]. Concerns can be raised anonymously and we will not retaliate against anybody who raises one in good faith.
Review
This statement is reviewed annually and updated when our supply chain changes materially.
